html on... html off
Hi Guys,
i noticed that in some of the forums that you have the HTML code set to on, this causes any code enclosed (or not enclosed) to be rendered instead of displayed as source code, is that by design? if it is set to off then all html code is displayed as source code with out the trouble of using & lt; to ensure the code3 isn't rendered.
Just a suggestion  |

That's a good one, never thought of it. So If I need to show you a piece of code, it'll be automatically generated or I have to use & lt; to show you, right?

Hi NancyS,
In some of the forums the setting for allowing html code to be used in posts has been turned off (such as this one) in others (such as HTML Basics) it is set to on, so any code entered in those forums must use the & lt; otherwise it will be rendered. You can find out if the html code is on or off by going to the bottom of any thread in the paticular forum below the forum jump box but above the footer you will see several lines of text labled "Forum Rules" it will tell you what rules are enabled for that forum.
