howzit,

i was on the internet last night and all was going fine, as it usually does! i disconnected and went for dinner, returned to the pc and it gone a bit moody on me.
firstly it had lost it's default password, but after fiddling with the settings (of which none were changed) it magically reappeared. The problem now is that, when i try to connect, the modem dials and then as it's about to connect, a click comes from the back of the pc and the error "unable to establish a connection" is displayed. i initially thought that it might be line saturation but this doesn't seem to be the problem.
i have had a phone call today saying that the persons who's pc it is is still unable to connect to the internet and now can't open excel!!!!! we have done a reboot and a full shut down.
does anybody have any suggestions?
