On general, stylesheets are for seperation of content from design!!! That's a main point of implementing stylesheets.
For example, now, when you create your (x)html pages with tables and inline styles and if you want to change the header color on all your pages, you have to open and edit evey page you want to correct.
With stylesheets you just correct one single line and all your pages are converted to that color because all of them call the same external stylesheet.
Another example: you have some html pages, some xml pages, wml pages etc, and they can all use one single stylesheet. With that not only you don't have to open every single page to change it, but, you can change the look and feel of multiple ML language pages. That's great for bulding a graphical presentation of some company and everything can be done with one, two, several stylesheets, because when you are using external stylesheets, you can call many of them in the same document.
What would you like to know, how the stylesheets work, how to use them, syntax, tell us more what u would like to know so we can help you better.
And for a tease here are some stylesheet links for resources and help:

Other Resources
Hi Guys,
Another good place for CSS is W3Schools or Rich in style and a good reference site is here .
In addition to this forum and others like it, another good place to see if a question has been asked & answered already is Faqts .
Hope those are useful to someone
