View Thread : new flash photo gallery yohannes plese, see my last project www.mariadjelebova.com (http://www.mariadjelebova.com) thank's:) NancyS very nice and clean yohannes Thank you :) groovything but load time is a killer :-( yohannes I am very glad about your estimation. If the links are not working, that is unfortunately because of my client provider---in Bulgaria:confused: The site itself is divided into 20 swf's, each one of 40-70k. Thanks again, groovything I love your photos - they are really great. you might consider a parallel non-flash site. When you use flash only for your site it eliminates a lot of potential traffic. I am on the web all day long (web developer) and I rarely spend time on flash only sites because they are generally overloaded with extra animation effects that slow my browsing experience. I think people surfing the web in general are the same way. flash sites are cool the first time around, but the average web surfer is more interested in content and ease of navigation than all the bells and whistles that Flash uses. Also, flash does not let the user download your images unless you specifically program it to allow that. that is good if you want to protect your images, but bad if you want people to use and distribute your work around the world. anyone else agree/disagree with me??? yohannes yes :) but for site without very much text/information/ flash is sometimes the best solution. groovything Originally posted by yohannes yes :) but for site without very much text/information/ flash is sometimes the best solution. ...and it looks much prettier. vBulletin v3.0.0, Copyright ©2000-2004, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
